Philosophy, Goals & Curriculum

The school considers each child as an individual and works towards and strives the hardest to motivate each child to attain his/her potential, most of which is done through positive reinforcement.

We recognize the fact that each child learns in a different way. Therefore we tailor our method to suit their individual needs. Our goal is to prepare the children for success in Elementary School and beyond. Positive reinforcement and building of good self esteem is a continuous process at our school. We plan the curriculum keeping in mind the development stages of the children. We seek to achieve for each child who completes his/her time here at It's A Children's World to be ready Emotionally, Socially and Academically so as to being very Confident of their abilities when they start Kindergarten. There is an emphasis throughout the program on language development. The children are encouraged to utilize all their language skills and individual strengths to expand through activities such as, ARTS AND CRAFTS, SCIENCE, COOKING, STORY TIME, GARDENING, MUSIC AND MOVEMENT, RHYTHMS AND PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS, COMPUTERS, ROLE PLAYING AND DRESS UP, FINE AND GROSS MOTOR SKILL ACTIVITIES, VISITS BY MARINE MUSEUM TOUCH TANK, DENTIST, FIREMAN, POLICEMAN, MUSICIANS, PETTING ZOO AND INDOOR AND OUT DOOR PLAY. 

NEWS LETTERS  are sent home monthly, detailing the plan for each class, family news, Birthdays  and Dates to remember etc.
